Please note! This is the very very first pressing, the very 1st issue of Black Sabbaths 1st Debut album and is totally complete and original!
Another from my personal collection. An absolutely stunning sounding totally original and one of the very first copies 1st issue UK Vertigo copy extreemely rare to find like this indeed! Very important to emphasise that this is one of the very, very first ever UK Black Sabbath albums to have been released in the UK! The vinyl still looks awesome and the audio blew me away one of the best sounding copies that I have heard for vibrancy and seperation, I played this so loud it nearly shook the house down! It has been a long time since an album has put shivers down my spine, every now and then you find an exceptional sounding vinyl and this one is it! Cristal clear and vibrant audio throughout without any distortion throughout ! (very rare and scarce to find like this indeed!! This is complete with the original and again I must emphise the very earliest pressing,, thick card type Vertigo gatefold which is strong and very straight with just (very minor) light general rubbing ware only, together with the original vertigo record sleeve !

The debut album BLACK SABBATH, which was recorded in two days in the studio (probably 11-12 November 1969 with. And, seixena cost 600 pounds), and then issued on February 13, 1970, on Friday (!) , after which it took up in the British charts 8th place!!!!!!
Both labels are free of any nasty names or marks!
The matrix and mother stampers.
side a. ''VO6'' ''1Y'' ''*1'' ''420 1''
side b. ''VO6'' ''2Y'' ''*1'' ''420 1''
The labels.
The original labels are awesome condition features the swirl on side a. and the swirl logo and track listings on side b.(only early press)!!!!!''A PHILLIPS RECORD PRODUCT'' (Only found on the very 1st issues only) All rights.... are featured around the label rim(only early press)!!!!!!! very minimal amount of spidering can be seen in strong light and hardly any spindle ware (the hole is perfectly round) which indicates that this has not been overplayed very (very) rare for an album that is 38 years old!!!!!
The vinyl.
The vinyl is absolutely superbe on initial visual inspection this looks absolutely awesome! and still retains its sheen from new!!!!!! (please note this vinyl has (not) been over played at all in my opinion !!!! nor are there any signs of grooveware or distortion!!!In strong only you may possibly see some sleeve removal marks\scuffs only but to be hionest it is hard for me to see any,, 'importantly!' no deep needle scratches or marks that caused any loud clicks or pops or even ticks quite unbeleivable to find on one of the earliest Black Sabbath albums!!
The Audio Quality
I have played this through track for track at very loud volume on a top system!, and the audio quality is superbe, unbeleivable the best that I have ever heard of this pressing! cristal clear and extreemely vibrant!! THIS WILL BE HARD TO FIND BETTER SOUNDING COPY IN MY OPINION!, You will definately never find another format that produces the stunning feel that these earliest vinyls produce in my opinion! Initial inspection on the vinyls playing surface, it is hard for me to see a blemish, at least (no) deep needle or audio sounding marks or scratches , (nothing) that effect the audio at all that would or indeed cause any loud clicks or pops that I heard, any marks possibly seen would be sleeve removal only and not audio sounding that I heard at all! This album sounded so good on my systems that I actually played this back to back five times whilst writing this description! I notice that these first pressings have a different mix to later press (even with the same #1#1 matrix endings I can tell you it's a fact) which beleive me is nothing that you would have heard before if you have never listened to the 1st pressing, unbeleivable! The audio on this pressing in my opinion is almost as good as it gets for this pressing (no) distortion (no) grooveware and certainly no skips or jumps!,,Even in between tracks there is extreemely minimal noise almost silent on my systems!!! I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS THAT I HEARD WHAT SO EVER ABSOLUTELY STUNNING SEPERATION TOP TOP VERY NEAR MINT AUDIO I would class myself as highly critical and this is a truly exceptional sounding vinyl and the 1st by this awesome band ''black sabbath''!!!Definately one of the best that I have ever heard!!!!! Please check my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!! I would grade the audio at least near perfect\ near mint on my systems even at mega loud volume!!Best ever audio, beleive me!
Please note! That i always make this disclaimer! please allow for the odd static crackle\tick certainly not consistant throughout the audio,Please remember this is a genuine 37 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 37 year old system!! Although I must point out that I never heard any problems what so ever!!!The cover.
This is the original UK 1ssue gatefold thicker card type(non) laminated cover Only found on early press later press have much thinner type of card material used (features ''WARNING-Copyrite subsists in all Vertigo recordings.....'') with black on the inside opening (only early 1st press later were white) which also has the lyric and track contents in the cross!!!! Please note!! the misspelling of ''Ossie Osbourne''!!! ''Osborne'' very rare (only early press) This is strong and straight with just very light rubbing at the edges only and minor superficial bumping ware to the corners with age and spine and only really noticable if scrutinised (see photo) Amaizingly no real nasty creases at all that i can see worth to mention at the front and one minor crease at the rear near the opening edge !!Please note that these earliest thick card type covers are the hardest to ever keep in decent condition because of the nature of the print that is very prone to rubbing ware, unlike the later issues this copy is exceptional in my opinion and has lasted the test of time! I would grade this at least excellent to excellent plus!!!!
The record sleeve. This is the original swirl polythene lined record sleeve patented and made in england. (please note this is stored seperately from the vinyl!!!!!!(please look at the photos) There is no splits or tares. There is light general creases\staining\fading with age only. This is the original!
