78 rpm 10" record: BENNY GOODMAN & HIS ORCHESTRA - Goodnight My Love b/w Take Another Guess - Victor 25461, scroll label, released in 1936. Both songs have "vocal refrain" and I believe the singer was ELLA FITZGERALD, uncredited. According to one site, this is a withdrawn record: "Because of the possibility of being sued for breach of contract by Decca records for the use of Ella Fitzgerald for the vocal refrains, Victor was forced to withdraw this record". Comes with a Victor sleeve.
Condition: E-/V (shellac still has a nice finish and A-side is very clean with a touch of minimal scuffing, while the b-side has two long but mostly very soft scratches, I can feel a part of one with my thumbnail, and some scuffing; labels have some light scratches on b-side; sleeve has some wrinkles and a couple of minimal tears, but no seam splits).
