Description

The Beat Of The Earth: The Electronic Hole 1970 demo LP on Radish A.S. 0002. This private press was produced in a quantity of roughly 200 copies, only half of which ever entered circulation. Over the past decades this album has grown to be one of the most well-known and well-respected private LPs out there. It's very nearly a solo project from the famous Phil Pearlman, who would later go on to form the legendary band Relatively Clean Rivers. Unfortunately Pearlman has never made a legit reissue of this record, and all the bootlegs / counterfeits out there sound horrid in comparison to this original analog acid vision. This 1st press copy is in phenomenal condition and is the ideal way to hear this Velvet Underground & Nico / Freak Out-inspired masterpiece. If you collect psychedelic / garage rock or private press records, this one is essential for your collection!
As can be seen from the photos, the cover of this copy is a genuine M- : crisp, clean, and sharp, with no damage to speak of. The entire cover is still in the original shrink wrap which has only separated about 4" on the bottom seam near the pocket; there are no corner dents, no seam wear, no despised ring wear, the colors on this copy are bright, and everything has remained in archival condition over the last 50 years, a pretty amazing find.
Most copies of this disc have noticeable noise at the beginning each side, but this one is a clean M- only played once to verify that the audio on this copy is far better than most... You just can't find a nicer one, no scratches or annoying spindle marks, this is the crème de la crème and an absolute final collection copy!
