Description
The BACHS "Out of the Bachs" (Roto Recordings PR.68-1044) Original LP from this all time undiluted GARAGE CLASSIC., from Chicago, only 150 copies pressed, the original find was ten years ago. This copy was cut loose from a band members parent.
The LP was sealed, but the plastic was so brittle it split and I could check the vinyl which is UNPLAYED MINT factory new. Same goes for the sleeve: not even discoloration, no ring wear: check the scans. Even the original inner sleeve is here: yellowed with age. Handwritten catalog number between the runout grooves: PR.68-1044 A and B

Bachs: Chicago jangle guitar downer garage psych with gorgeous aching vocals. Masterful guitar work covering the spectrum from Beau Brummels chiming to anarchic Litter runs. Haunting poetic originals full of lost love and broken dreams - even moving into stream of consciousness territory on 'Minister to a Mind Diseased' and 'Tables of Grass Fields'. The closer, 'I'm a Little Boy', is an otherworldly dark feedback monster. Literally every track is a winner! Recorded in a butcher's shop by this high school group late 1967 and released January 1968. This group had a maturity and presence way beyond their years. For me, it comes down to this and the Litter's 'Distortions' for best US garage lp. lp (68, Roto pr-1044; 100 pressed) Out of the Bachs [4 *] >----
