Description

Amos Milburn was one of the first performers to switch from sophisticated jazz arrangements to the louder jump blues style. With songs like “Chicken Shack Boogie” and good-natured, upbeat romps about booze and partying, Milburn achieved commercial success and was influential for several musicians, especially Fats Domino and Little Richard.

This record is part of a collection I’m selling for a gentleman whose early years were spent seeing these R&B artists in clubs in Seattle back in the 50s. He is a longtime aficionado of early R&B and blues and we have hundreds more lps to offer in these genres. He has been the only owner of this record. As you can see, it looks great. It does have background noise, especially in the first couple tracks, it’s 63 years old. It’s still a joy to listen to. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any inquiries you may have.

Because of the risk of shipping valuables overseas I am unable to sell to overseas buyers at this time. Thanks for your understanding.
