Description
Extremely rare holy grail album from late 70's LA hard rock scene. This album was made at The Record Plant in Los Angeles and is a professionally recorded, mastered and pressed album. It is not a slap-dash home recording. Despite that, only 500 copies were pressed and distributed. The rarity of this recording, and the mysterious obscurity of the band itself have only added to the allure and legendary status this impossibly rare recording has attained.
This copy is in excellent listening condition. The vinyl is clean and bright with occassional minor scuffs. Played on a Denon DP-59L turntable on tube equipment the music sounded full, rich and clear. Azurite produced this album themselves and did a fantastic job of it. On side 1, track 2 there are four minor clicks about 60 seconds in. On the final track of side 2, "Lady Blue" there is short repetitive clicking for three or four rotations during the early acoustic passage, then three moderate pops about 30 seconds after that. From that point, this stunner of a closing song plays great, as does the rest of the album. I am trying to be as transparent as possible. The final tally shows maybe ten disrupted rotations on the entire album. There are ZERO skips and ZERO hung needles.
The cover is good with a noticable wear ring.
Enjoy this great album. You will probably be one of only a hundred or so people on the planet able to do so. Thanks!
