I have been methodically / psychotically collecting punk / indie / and metal vinyl for over fifteen years and I finally have come to a point where I need to pare down this overwhelming amount of vinyl due to space and money. So, you the ebay patrons of the world are the beneficiaries of my life long pursuit of wonderful, wonderful vinyl. With the demise of the CD and the rise of digital downloads it's nice to see vinyl once again become the premiere music fans format. System Failure cassette compilation withe the AFI song, 'Ronny Was A Rebel'

THIS IS A CASSETTE NOT A RECORD!!

I am selling off all my rare AFI stuff this week, and fourth up is the rarest AFI song in existence, 'Ronny Way A Rebel". Google doesn't have one link to any history of the song, but I have the cassette to prove its existence. So, this punk rock dude back in like 1993, named Sean Sh*t, used to make these comp tapes to promote the DIY punk rock scene we all so passionately cared about, (and probably buy a 40 oz) His tapes were all local or touring bands that willingly contributed songs, AFI was an integral aspect of the scene and Sean Sh*t lived at the infamous, Humboldt House, where the band seemed to play weekly amongst hordes of drunken punks. This tape, is called "System Failure,' and also has songs By Naked Aggression, Dead And Gone, Micky And The Big Mouths (my band would split a demo cassette with them shortly after, ah the drunken memories), KPF and others. I bought this for a buck from Adam Labelle who used to peddle all the local sh*t out of his bedroom at the Humboldt House. Quality of songs here is super shi**y cuz a punk rocker in a Crass shirt put out the tape, but still, this is not a bootleg, but a legitimate release. I do not own a tape player, but tape appears to be in fine condition. On top of this I am including three original AFI flyers from parties and the Phoenix Theater as well as the original 1995 AFI mailer. These were stuck on my wall back in the day, so show wear. I am from Santa Rosa originally (45 min North of Berkeley), and grew up with these guys. They were originally from Ukiah, played shows with my old band (the band was called Masturbation, for you bay are punk completists) at the Humboldt House in Santa Rosa, Brady House in Petaluma, Phoenix theater, etc. My point being that I purchased all of these AFI records myself and can one hundred percent guarantee their authenticity. With that said, I loved this band with a passion back then. These were my childhood drinking buddies, and it's funny to think how well this early AFI stuff has held up. Released by Sean Sh*t (wonder what your real name was or what happened to you) back in like 1993 or so?, obviously crazy rare, as unless you were in the north bay punk scene in the early 90's this doesn't exist. Yay!
