Description
This is impossibly rare and a holy grail piece of Blue Note history! Blue Note 1, pink label first pressing of the first record released in their storied history! Alfred Lion only pressed 25 of these pink label initial pressings back in 1939! It is a 12" 78 rpm record. I feel crazy for even selling this, and will not consider anything less than the starting bid. If it does not sell, then I will keep it probably for another 19 years and try to sell it again when it is 100 years old. It is in pretty nice condition, with no deep scratches. Does play with some surface noise but is still very enjoyable! There is a small nick near the start of melancholy that causes a couple of pops. Also there is a slight warp, which you may need to adjust your anti-skate weight for, so that it does not skip near the start of each side. I made recordings of each side, so you can get a sense of how it spins, and what the sound is like. Please check out those links if you are serious about bidding. Any questions, please ask! Will be super packed with care, definitely double boxed, maybe even triple boxed!
