Description
Up for auction is a signed copy of the late MILES DAVIS' 1963 release 'Quiet Nights' (Columbia PC 8906). The front cover was boldly signed (6,5 inches!!!) by MILES DAVIS in blue ball-point pen in my former hometown of Stuttgart (Germany) in the afternoon hours of July 11, 1988. I personally obtained MILES DAVIS autograph waiting outside the Liederhalle where MILES DAVIS was about to perform at Beethovensaal later that evening as part of the 'Jazz Gipfel Stuttgart' festival. The signature offered here is 100% genuine and comes with a life-long C.O.A. I'm a vivid autograph collector for 35 years. So, please bid with confidence!
Both sides of the US pressed vinyl RECORD are in NEAR MINT- condition. Both sides are still mirror-like and shiny, there's not a single mark, scuff or scratch to report of! The album is a 70ies re-issue with Matrix numbers XSM 75533-1AD (stamped) and XSM-75534 G/A (handwritten/engraved).
The MILES DAVIS signed COVER grades as EXCELLENT, there's NO unwanted writing, NO tears, NO seam splits, NO punch-holes, etc. The back panel is in NEAR MINT condition (NO barcode) while the signed front COVER displays mild shelf-wear and two creases to the bottom area (both are not through the colour though).
Both 70ies style COLUMBIA (red label with yellow COLUMBIA lettering) record LABELS are in MINT condition, there are NO spidermarks around the spindle-holes!
I stick to the 'RECORD COLLECTOR' grading system (please see below). Satisfaction guaranteed!

The album will be mailed to the lucky winner in a stiff record box with extra cardboard stiffeners for best possible protection! MINT: The Record Itself Is In Brand New Condition With No Surface Marks Or Deterioration In Sound Quality. The Cover And Any Extra Items Such As The Lyric Sheet, Booklet Or Poster Are In Perfect Condition. Records Advertised, As Sealed Or Unplayed Should Be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The Record Shows Some Signs Of Having Been Played, But There Is Very Little Lessening In Sound Quality. The Cover And Packaging Might Have Slight Wear And / Or Creasing.
VERY GOOD: The Record Has Obviously Been Played Many Times, But Displays No Major Deterioration In Sound Quality, Despite Noticeable Surface Marks And The Occasional Light Scratch. Normal Wear And Tear On The Cover Or Extra Items, Without Any Major Defects, Is Acceptable.
