Description
We have recently aquired a first class collection or records comprising of approximately 40,000 45's, 78's, and L.P.'s in every genre including rock & roll, funk, punk, blues, soul, northern soul, R&B, surf, jazz, country, doo-wop etc.The release dates range from the 1910's through to the 2000's. The owner has been collecting since the late 1950's and looked after his records with care.

Artist / Group: Motherlode
Motherlode had undergone five different lineups since forming in 1969 in Toronto, Canada. The original (1969) version comprised of Ken Marco (guitar), Steve Kennedy (tenor sax, harmonica), William "Smitty" Smith (keyboards), and Wayne "Stoney" Stone (drums), with backing vocals by the talented African Canadian vocalist, Dianne Brooks. Together they released two fine soul 45's on the fledging Canadian Revolver label in 1969. Dianne Brooks who a few years earlier had toured as the featured vocalist with the Count Basie orchestra, contributed a song, "Memories Of A Broken Promise" and some background vocals to Motherlode's "When I Die" album (Revolver 501, now available on CD as Pacemaker 008).
