Description

Beatles Box Set Unplayed Audiophile Release -  This half speed Original Master Recording Box Set is on heavy virgin vinyl that is noted as the finest Beatles recordings available...the entire audio spectrum is captured here when the master tapes were new which is far better than an digital sample from old tapes. This and other audiophile recordings are from my personal collection that dates back to the 70's. I bought this set a few years ago from the brother of the owner of the audiophile record store. Ironically, the brother was stuck on his cds and did not have a TT. He opened these to check out the posters and such. I bought and stashed them knowing that I would one day play them. To date, I have not. Unfortuantely, I lost my job and have to generate cash. Maybe someday I can find a Mint set or afford a sealed one, but I doubt I will ever get as lucky as I did when I got these for the open price....maybe you too can be so lucky

I have taken great care of my MFSLs and often bought several copies just in case I wore one out or got damaged. Given the great care I have taken, I have been fortunate that damage and wear have not been an issue, thus, I will be selling my sealed ones.. ENJOY!

Brad Miller and Stan Ricker engineered this LP to provide the ultimate reproduction that makes you feel like you are in the studio - outasight man<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Sit back, crank up the stereo (maybe put on some headphones) and become enveloped in the entire Beatles set which is the most incredibly warm and rich set of recordings you will ever hear!!!. Yes, the cds, including the remasters are good, but they cannot touch these recordings!!! (How do I know since mine are unplayed? My close friend who has a wall of Electrostatics, a Rega P3 and Sunfire/Carver set up has played his set for all to hear...convinces me to buy them)

Why? The original master tapes were used when they were NEW. Further, under the renowned master engineers, Ricker & Miller, these tapes were turned into the most, magnificent recording.

Why is this important? The original master tapes were used when they were NEW. Unfortunately, master tapes do not maintain their integrity and thus, their original high audio quality without intensive maintenance that must occur every 3 and no more than 5 years. As the recording industry moved to digital (a mere sample of the audio on the tape [16 bits or worse yet an mp3 with the rough equivalent of 1 bit]) digital masters were created. Although easier to maintain, bit loss during transfer further reduces the accuracy of the reproduction from the digital master which has already lost much of the detail form the full audio spectrum analog master. Few studios or bands maintained their analog masters; thus, when a remaster comes out it is from an inferior source. Only the original pressings and recordings from the original master tapes, when the master was new, provide the rich, warm and MOST accurate reproduction available. If you want the best, the original master recording from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Japan are the very, very best available. MFSL, Mastersound and a few others did their half speed original master recording in Japan with the best technology.
