Here is one of the most sought after and rare records from the 1980's U.S. hardcore punk scene... This is an original pressing of the "PILGRIM STATE" LP by Long Island, NY hardcore band INSANITY DEFENSE. This 10 song album is one of the best records to come out of the NYHC scene... super fast, super tight, powerful, eerie, sinister, full throttle hardcore punk. Only 500 pressed, and this is hand numbered #24. At times reminds me of bands like SS Decontrol, Minor Threat, Articles of Faith, Black Market Babies, Misfits, Really Red and Dead Kennedys. Members of INSANITY DEFENSE also played in the band SATAN'S CHEERLEADERS. The title track alone is worth whatever you pay for this gem, truly explosive!!! Also comes with the original foldout lyric sheet poster, a label flyer, and a few creepy inserts of clippings about the Rickie Kasso Satanic Murders from the mid 80's which took place in the band's hometown. (Those murders went on to inspire the movie The River's Edge with Keanu Reeves). Record cover and all inserts in great condition. This is an unsung and super rare punk masterpiece.
