CONDITION

All Labels: NEAR MINT

An outstanding unworn set with just 2/3 faint spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole and just one on label 1. It's the same story with the second disc; just 2/3 faint spindle trails around the side centre hole and just a single one on label 4.

Both Discs Visual: NEAR MINT

Both discs have been out of their inners no more than once or twice during the past 47 years and all playing surfaces survive in pristine unworn condition. All sides are totally 'as new' and unmarked in strong daylight with just a few unavoidable extremely faint wispy paper hairlines from the unforgiving matt black inners visible beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. There are certainly no scuffs or any scratches whatsoever. Both discs of this exceptional set lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing and will not need upgrading.

Sound Quality Of Both Discs: NEAR MINT

Both discs have only been played just once or twice at most and on high-end equipment only. My own single careful play-check found the sound quality to be flawless throughout. In fact the only factor preventing a straight MINT grading is a touch of light background on the run-ins and on the introduction to 'Dear Prudence', which is in fact present on 99.9% of all original copies. The only distraction which caught my ear during my single playcheck at volume was a single light click on 'Piggies' - otherwise the remainder of disc 1 and all of disc 2 play flawlessly. You will not be disappointed with this set or be able to find another like it.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A highly respectable example of this easily blemished cover which is an even, slightly off-white colour all over. The front panel is clean & glossy with no 'thumbnail's or storage marks or scratching. The laminate is fully intact over the raised wording and the unique number is bold and unworn. All corners are in great shape with just slight shelfwear bruising to the lower two. All of the top-opening edges are straight and undamaged with no tears or feathering to any. The rear panel is as clean & glossy as the front with just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle in the the upper right corner above the 'stereo' sticker.

The inside of the gatefold is in superb unworn condition with just a single small 'thumbnail' on the right panel. The spine is in fine shape with just a few small splits to the laminate. The upper 'The Beatles' wording is covered but there is a small split over the catalogue numbers on the lower end of the spine. All seams of both pockets are all smooth, unstressed & unsplit.

Poster: EXCELLENT +

Clean, white & unhung with minor handling wear but no tears or wear to any fold.

Photos & Spacer: MINT

Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT +

Both are clean & flat with a few soft storage wrinkles and an unavoidable faint disc impression, but tears or seam splits.
