Description
This is a mint in shrink certified Beatles Butcher First State Mono cover. Cover is made in the Scranton, PA factor and is certified by the famous Beatles expert Perry Cox. Certification is included. Perry certifies this cover as Near Mint to Mint with only some light aging at the mouth visibile from the back. Cover comes from family of former Capitol Record Distribution Manager. Included are his business card (copy), a copy of a letter dated 6/14/66 detailing the intent for Capitol managers to remove the album from the Butcher cover and place it into the more acceptable Yesterday and Today cover, a copy from the distribution manager detailing the destruction of 50,700 Butcher covers at the local dump, a letter from Stanley Gortikov to the distribution manager thanking him for work surrounding the Butcher problem (copy) and a write-up from the distribution manager describing his experience with the Butcher debacle. Finally a picture of the sales manager (copy) at a 1960s sales meeting with all the other department heads in Hollywood. Please realize there is no album, the album was moved to the acceptable cover.
