WILLIE and the BUMBLEBEES - "Honey From The Bee". (sjl4107; stereo; 1976). RARE. Nice MINT copy of this great private raw funk rock LP; produced and distributed locally in MN by the band. Beats, samples. (Featured in Acid Archives review: "Raw bluesy & funky bar band rock with horn section and a cover to match. Willie Murphy went on to start the Atomic Throy label and is producing other artists, and also recorded a couple solo projects.") Produced by Dave 'Snaker' Ray. The liners tell it all: "Willie ... makes real music ... good to shake your ass to ... the music is raw ... made for those who live, love, lose; who get high and happy, crash and get crazy ... music around which you can drink, think, despair or dance ... what else can you ask? Meet you down at the bar ...".
