| Side 1: TAKE MY HEART
Side 2: JACKSON MAN
6 1/2" USA Metal Acetate which plays at 45 rpm.The title credits on the disc are handwritten in green wax crayon. The condition is absolutely superb considering it's nearly 40 years old. Before I found it back in 2000 in Indiana it had never been played. I must have played it maybe a dozen times now and visually and audibly it is stone Mint.
Please read the attached article printed in Discoveries in July 2000 for the full story on it's discovery. There was also a special feature about it the following year (2001) in the UK publication of Record Collector, in which they valued this historical piece of music at £3000 (GBP). I cannot find my copy of the article but if you contact the magazine direct I am sure they will have the details as they keep and sell all back issues.
I have included a 60 second sound clip of both sides (see microphone logo below). The sound source is not direct and was done very primitively by myself with a microphone placed next to speakers. Hence the poor quality sound with lots of background noise. Rest assured the disc itself plays absolutely perfect with no distortion or background noise.
This is truly an amazing one-of-a-kind item, possibly the ultimate MJ collectors piece. A worthwhile investment which will certainly increase in value considerably in the near future.
Any USA parties potentially interested in purchasing this item may like to know that I will be visiting Texas in late October this year. So I can personally arrange delivery or collection within the USA rather than having it shipped from the UK.
