This late 1970 or early 1971 funk will be released on a upcoming Ace/BGP funk comp from master tapes. This was a Mexican American funk band from Sacramento California. I guarantee that this is the only copy that I found. I've done a lot of research and I think it's the only known copy. I got it from the owner of the label and studio where it was recorded in Sacramento. His name was Bill Rase. The label Esar was Rase backwards. He passed away a few months ago. He also gave me the original contract with the band, a business card and even the original invoice for the 200 copies pressed. I located the band and none of the guys have had a copy for 30 years. My buddy Alec Palao of Ace Records in the U.K. has the master tape and it will be released in the near future. A lot of you guys are asking for a sound file, the best I can do is the 96 bitrate mp3 file that I have attached to the listing on Ebay. Sorry but Ace has the exclusive on this one. Good bidding. |
