Up for auction is a rare classical LP self titled, Mozart DIE ZAUBERFLOTE, The Magic Flute, Vienna State Opera Chorus,  Decca UK STEREO SXL 2215/7. 3LP set Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound, “Original Recording By” at 10:00 o’clock.

Original blue ink Decca inner sleeves 1st Edition from 1959/1960 with outer plastic “Envelope” styled plastic cover jacket. Booklet has tight staples, clean pages, looks very nice.

Visually the three vinyl LP’s  look VG+ to VG++. VG+ on one side with a noticeable tic can be heard for about 2 minutes then plays nice. Nice, clean and bright gloss. For the most part, plays loud, clear, crisp and clean. There is an occasional tic or surface sound but these seem to be played lightly then put away for years.

Center label has very light wear, marks or issues. Nice tight center hole. A description of each side follows.

Side One, feelable 1/2” long scratch which causes a light and noticeable tic for 2 minutes and then plays fine. VG+

Side Two, a few light inner sleeve scuffs, looks bright and clean, VG++ or nicer.

Side Three, visible mark which doesn’t effect play or sound. Bright and clean, grades VG+

Side Four, looks and plays VG++ , sounds loud and clear, as well as looks bright and clean.

Side Five, looks and plays VG++ or nicer, very light scuff

Side Six, plays loud, clear, crisp and clean. Nice and bright high gloss and sheen. Grades VG++ or nicer.

Original Decca inner sleeve looks nice and decent. A 2” break is noticed on one side of one sleeve, otherwise grade VG+ or nicer.

Outer plastic red colored sleeve is made of vinyl? and has this clear plastic over it. Has original price sticker on back corner. Some overall wear noticed. Some paper transfer wear on back cover, like something was stuck to outer vinyl jacket once. The front cover would grade VG+ and the back cover would grade VG or so due to this paper residue.

Includes librette which is nice and clean and is almost perfect and new looking except for a small 1/2” tear on opening first page. Grades VG++ or nicer.
