VISUAL GRADING:

RECORD: G This record is in good condition. Record shows scuffs and scratches on both sides, some feel deep to the touch.  Record played thorugh with lots of surface noise but no skips. Good filler copy.

COVER: G The cover is in good condition.  Cover shows signs of shelf and ring wear consistent with a record of its vintage. Top seam is split at the opening of the pocket. Spine has an inch long split in the center. Bottom spine is fine. Title can be read clearly on top spine. Staining on rear. See photos.

BID NOW. And get this rare Crickets LP at a great price while you can. Thanks for looking.

Grading:

NEAR MINT or NM, M- : this record appears virtually flawless.  Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs or a light hairline scratch that cannot be felt. The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is be as close to perfect as can be.

VERY GOOD+ or VG+ : Minor scuffs are visible usually the result of a paper inner sleeve. There may be a light hairline scratch that cannot be felt. COVER: Cover shows normal shelf and ring wear for a well cared for record of its vintage. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs can make this grade.

VERY GOOD Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. There may be a few inconsequential scratches, although no deep scratches will make this grade. COVERS: A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, and minor splits at opening of pocket or in the center of the bottom seam. The corners will be slightly dog eared yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork.

GOOD: This is my lowest grade and is only reserved for very rare records that are still worth having at this grade. A good record will look very well played, dull, grayish and possibly abused. There will be numerous scuffs and some deep scratches visible. A Good record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise and needle jumps. A good cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits (possibly taped repaired).
