Description
Up for auction is a double white vinyl LP set of "The Beatles" aka The White Album. This particular one is a German issue and includes the two LPs, poster and the four photos. Apple Records 1C 172-04 173/74.
This is being relisted due to a non paying bidder.
The cover has an orange circle on the left - I'm assuming that is says it's a limited pressing. There is a gold sticker on the front cover also, but I cannot guess what that reads. The group name is embossed and raised on the front cover; the cover is also numbered "032653." The cover has no seam or spine splitting, but there is some wear to the cover as you can see in the scan. It appears that the type of material the cover was made of is prone to "warping" as the cover has some of that. It also appears on the lower part of the cover that there may have been some moisture problems. Cover grades VG.
The two white vinyl LPs look to be in near mint condition. The labels are unmarked and very nice also. I will not list all the songs on the two records as I'm sure most of us are familiar with them.
The poster and the photos are also included. The four photos are made of a stiffer stock than the US photos. There is no markings on them indicating production location, etc. All four photos are in very nice condition but with some slight warping also.
The poster is also made of thicker stock than the US issued poster. This poster is in great condition with no pins marks, tears, etc. The poster reads "Electrola Gesellschaft M.B.H., etc; Printed and made in Germany by Henrich Nicolaus Gmb H."
I accept paypal only - payment must be received within 5 days of the end of the auction. Buyer pays $6 for shipping and handling if within the US - Canada pays $12 - other countries pay $20.
On Jul-22-08 at 17:31:37 PDT, seller added the following information:THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WHITE PRESSING ISSUED ONLY IN GERMANY AND NOT FOR EXPORT. THE EXPORT VERSION HAD A BLACK STICKER INDICATING SUCH BUT THOSE WERE A LATER ISSUE.
