Yes - The original Beatles 'HOTTEST HITS' Eskimo Cover' one of the 'RAREST' albums in the WORLD and especially one in this condition where it's not all torn or badly scuffed, there is a minuscule tear in the front of the sleeve but intact as shown in the picture! Plus an original signature of Sir George Martin signed in the sixties....Read story below :)
Yes this is the original Danish copy! Being such a valuable item, I will insure it to the value of the winning bid or you are most welcome to collect!
I purchased this from a second hand store of Oxford Street London around 1966 where I worked for Selfridges. In the afternoon the same day comes in Mr George Martin (he wasn't 'Sir' then, whom I recognized, I immediately took out the album from under the desk and asked him to sign it! He paused and said son, I don't think I should sign it on the LP but I will be only too happy to sign you an autograph.
To this day I couldn't figure out why he didn't sign the LP :)
I then took out one of our store cards and he signed it on the back! I remember then having the cheek to ask him if I could come and see the 'BOYS' recording and he laughed but politely asked me to write to the address given on the card and he'll see what he could do!. As you can see the nerves got the better of me whereby I couldn't write the word 'ABBEY' LOL.
Sadly I never pursued it but as you can see from the Selfridges card which still has the original telephone number Mayfair 1234 and this my dear friends I will include to the winning bidder as it truly belongs to this 'RARE' album!
Please bear in mind that the record is superb condition and the sleeve is totally acceptable condition for it's age!
One very collectable disc to own especially in this CONDITION from a trusted Ebayer and a great Beatle fan who has been collecting since the 60's!
