5. TEFTELLER James Brown ORIG 1967 Concert Poster!
The last one of my fantastic James Brown and Revue posters from the New Oakland Coliseum!
I had a total of three of these which I obtained years ago directly from the promoter of the show,
Ray Dobard, who also owned the Music City record label in Berkeley and was a close, personal friend
of James Brown.
This is not a "boxing style" poster but is much nicer and larger.
It measures 22" x 28" and is in Near Mint condition as Mr Dobard had them stored flat
and away from heat, water etc.
I DO NOT have another of these. I had three and one was sold privately some time ago to Ralph
DeLuca (New Jersey poster collector extraordinaire) and the other one I sold a month or so ago on
eBay. I did NOT keep one for myself and there will be no more coming from Dobard as he is dead and
his estate cleared out the building and there is nothing left.
This is the Godfather of Soul at his peak as a concert performer and original posters from these
shows are harder and harder to find and more and more expensive each year.
Don't miss this one or you will look long and hard for another!
Starting bid $9.99

I have been collecting and selling Rare Records and Memorabilia
for over 30 years. I worked for Groucho Marx in the 1970's doing archival research. I have
collected RARE BLUES 78 rpm RECORDS since the 1970's and probably have the
world's best collection of that type of music.
Check out the ABOUT ME page for me by clicking on the ME icon next to my
name.
I have over 75,000 Blues and Rhythm and Blues 78's in my
Inventory. 90% of these records are old store stock and in BRAND NEW
CONDITION AND IN ORIGINAL SLEEVES.
I now realize that there is NO WAY I WILL LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO SELL ALL OF THEM ONE
AT A TIME....so I am starting to sell some on eBay in addition to my regular monthly auctions of Rare
Records that appears in GOLDMINE MAGAZINE.
Rest assured that I do know how to pack and ship FRAGILE 78 RPM Phonograph records across the
USA and across the world. I DO NOT use those thin Pizza Boxes. Your records will
be mailed with plenty of cardboard around them in nice DEEP boxes with lots of packing peanuts
etc. all around them for extra safety.
I will also be offering some MOVIE MEMORABILIA and related collectible items.
Thank you for looking at my listings and GOOD LUCK in bidding!
