Description
This auction is Directly from the estate of my dad, Ted Lucas. What we have here is the Ted Lucas solo album released on Om records in 1974 that was written and Produced by Ted Lucas. This is a fantastic mix of folk/acoustic and Eastern indian influences. Ted was ahead of his time in many ways and his use of the sitar in rock music slightly predated George Harrison's in the Beatles. BUT this album is different than most others you may find for this copy did not come with the album originally. No this originally was just the wonderful Mouse record cover and lyric insert sheet in which I added the album (Why you may ask...I'll tell you)...this was a TEST copy of the album and insert sheet. The insert sheet on the album is done in black and white on a regular paper stock. The actual lyric sheet that was released for sale has a purplish color ink on a light cardboard stock. This album was never made to be released or for sale but we at Ted Lucas Music inc are releasing it to publicize the website we've establshed for the late Ted lucas and to try and bring his wonderful music to the people. There are only 12 known copies of this test lyric sheet known to exist. The condition of the album is unplayed (I looked at it and it looks like it came fresh from the plant). The copies we have are unplayed and have been stored for several years. This is the yellow label version as opposed to the more common pink label.The cover itself does have a couple corners that aren't bent but have been slightly rounded off over the years. There is no writing but there is some very light scuffing on the edges (top, bottom, sides) from having been stored. If you are not satisfied that the album is as described I will offer a money back guarantee. If the album is returned within a week (7 days) of your receiving it I will give you 100% money back (minus the original shipping fee).
