Description

Tommy Sul

Artist Various Artists (Anatics, Soul Sonics, Chantes, Carolyn Miles, Starlites, Uniques, Daelshawns)

Title Black Out New Sounds Of 70

Label Century

Condition VG+/VG+ (In fantastic shape for a 30 year old LP, hear sound file for quality check. The sleeve has a little damp staining down the spine, see photo, but over all is very good with no ring wear. Also see high definition scan of record, which shows what good shape it's in.)

Description One of the rarest funk/crossover LP's on the planet. Recorded as a showcase for young talent in 1970, from Oklahoma City. This is one of only 3 know copies.

Hear the stunning crossover group harmony winner from The Anatics - 'Give it away'. Also on the sound file is the scorching funk instrumental by Soul Sonics - 'Sudsy' and finally the 'In Ya Face' deep funk of Carolyn Miles - 'I made a mistake'. As well as these killer tracks the double LP has many other cool female and male group harmony tracks and the second disc showcases the best of local young gospel talent.

This is a must for any serious black music collector, the last one on Ebay sold for over $4000 in simular condition.

This is additional condition info and the reply to a members question.

As you can tell by the sound files it is general good shape. VG+ vinyl, there are light marks on all the surfaces which you would expect for a 30 year old used LP. But few are audible and those that are, are faint as you can hear. The track with the worst is probably Carolyn Milas, which you can hear on the sound file, isn't that bad. I will give it a further clean on a vacuum disc cleaner before I send it out.The sound file has been recorded on a Technics 1210 with stanton cartridge and upgarded Real Player software, so it is a very true recording. please get back to me if you require further info....
