ULTRA-RARE -Stevie Ray Vaughan AUTHENTIC- SIGNED/AUTOGRAPHED "Texas Flood" LP. I met Stevie backstage in 1983 when he OPENED for Men at Work (??)in Seattle. He was very friendly from what I remember. He did sign the LP to ME as did Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton. I figure the hardcore SR Vaughan fans out there won't really care who he inscribed it to. The LP itself is in excellent to Near Mint condition. No scratches, warping or any greasy fingerprints. I believe I played it twice(I'm not a big eletric blues fan...I'm more of a 1940's Jump Blues/R&B man-Wynonnie Harris, Louis Jordan, Roy Brown, Bullmoose Jackson, Lucky Millinder,Joe Liggins, etc.). It was a promo copy (stamped on the upper-right corner of the back cover) my boss had given me. I've been in the music industry for nearly 25 years...I've simply run out of room to store everything. I figure that someone would appreciate this more than I would...besides I have a nice 8x10 photo taken with him from that night. His signature is very clear and easy to read="To Chris, All The Best, Stevie Ray Vaughan. I don't think he used a sharpie... it was something with a wider tip. Also included is the Backstage Pass, which, back then, I put on the front of the LP, below his signature...on the bottom right. I didn't attempt to remove it as it has been stuck there for over 20 years...I didn't want to take a chance on causing any damage to the album jacket. The show was October 12, 1983. And as I said earlier, believe it or not, I think he OPENED for Men At Work. Isn't that hilarious? I knew bacK then even, they were a quick one or two year band-here today, gone tomorrow but everyone that went to that first show in Seattle knew Stevie was going to be a Superstar with talent...and staying power.
