Description

OK, now you know I'm seriously purging my record collection. You are bidding on one of the rarest and most sought after items in the Slap A Ham & Spazz discographies. This is a copy of the one, the only, the original SPAZZ "Funky A** Lil' Platter" 1" noise EP! Slap A Ham Records #34, 1996. This is a joke that went too far. Back in the mid-90s when Spazz was releasing a record every few months and limited collectors-only editions of records were being created like crazy, Slap A Ham took it to the furthest extreme by creating a record that was not only ultra rare & ultra limited, but also impossible to play. It's a 1" plastic record that comes in a mini sleeve, and the record itself actually has microscopic inner labels and a center hole. To push the joke even further, this unplayable record contained a huge, endlessly long "Thanks List" (another joke on bands who thanked a million people on their records). The record itself is actually a toy record that doesn't contain any actual music, even if it could be played, which is why it's called a "noise e.p." (that way if anyone played it, they would only hear noise, and the band could say it was intentional). Chris Dodge made all copies by hand, way back in 1996. There was an intention of making 50 copies, but after making 14 copies, boredom set in, so there are ONLY 14 COPIES IN EXISTENCE. The existing copies were given to close friends (like Jeb Branin and Timojhen Mark). This was the whole point of this release anyhow: Something fun and funny to give to friends, and something to list in the Spazz and Slap A Ham discographies in order to drive record collectors crazy! If you can believe it, this 1" was actually bootlegged about a year later... yes, someone took the time to create fake Spazz 1"s! I've never seen the bootlegs, but they've been described to me & they are noticably different than the real thing. By the way, the photo of this in the center of the Commodores "Brick House" 45 is just so you can get an idea of the scale of the size of this 1" (but if you really want a scratchy 45 of "Brick House", I'll be more than happy to include that along with the 1"). You are not bidding on music, but you are bidding on an extremely rare piece of history. This is an unbelievable opportunity to add something impressive to your collection, and I'm only selling this because I badly need money. You know how damn rare this is, so hurry up and bid while you can!!! Buyer pays postage (It will be cheap anywhere in the world). Winning bidder's payment must be received within 15 days of auction's end. Paypal accepted. Checks are OK (US only), but I will hold onto your item until your check clears (up to 2 weeks). Payment in U.S. Dollars only. Do not bid unless you intend to buy; IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK OR RECENT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID UNLESS YOU CONTACT ME FIRST WITH YOUR INTENTION TO BUY. Check out my other auctions while I clear out my 20+ year record stash/collection!
