Description
SONICS INC.: Nobody To Love/Diddy Wah Diddy (no label SP-003, USA 1966) HOLY GRAIL U.S. 60's garage 45....one of the RAREST OF ALL with only a few copies known to exist. This group (named SONICS on the pic sleeve and SONICS INC. on the label) compromised of American youngsters who attended the International School in Bangkok, Thailand. They made three 45´s during 1965/1966 with this "Nobody To Love" b/w "Diddy Wah Diddy" 45 being the last, best & rarest of them. For many years there was only one known (& hammered) copy and this Sonics Inc. 45 was considered to be rarest of all garage 45's after the Denise & Co. single. Only in recent years a few copies have popped up. "Diddy Wah Diddy" (no, NOT the Bo Diddley song!) was comped on BACK FROM THE GRAVE #8 and "Nobody To Love" appeared on one of the TEENAGE SHUTDOWN's. The copy that is on auction is in great condition: the record is in EX condition except for a small edge crack which does not affect playing. The edge crack is only within the run-in grooves (see photo) and the clicks are gone as soon as the songs start in (check the audiofiles). Anyway, because of the edge crack I downgraded the vinyl to VG+. The picture sleeve is in a solid VG+ condition: no writing, no tape/stickers etc., only some light brown stains and very small imperfections around the edges of the sleeve (check the photos). The minimum bid price is VERY reasonable I think. I sold my other copy 4+ years ago for considerably more. If you have any further questions on this 45, please get in touch. Strict grading. I use the standard grading system, so M (mint), EX (excellent), VG (very good), G (good) etc. +(+)/-(-) = slightly better/worse then... Some Abbreviations that I use: wo(b)c = writing on (back)cover; wol = writing on label; toc/tol = tape on cover/label; rw = ringwear; soc/sol = sticker on cover/label; nc = no center; co(h) = cut out (hole).
