Description

This LP is new and sealed. I recently rediscovered it in a box that has been in a shelving unit in my home office for many many years. There was one other sealed North Star "Songs..." LP in the box along with an open North Star "Songs..." LP.

I picked up this LP, which is from the first press run, at North Star Records' office on Chestnut Street in Providence in May 1986, and we all had a glass of Korbel champagne. This LP has never been opened, and if it spent any time on a shelf rather than in a box it was very brief, as it looks a lot better than the opened and played copy that was in the same box. The image is a scan of the actual LP, by the way.

"Cremonaguy" is the screen name for record producer and audio and music journalist John Marks. Cremona, by the way, is the town in Italy celebrated for its legendary violin makers such as Stradivari and del Gesu. I have drafted and will sign an Affidavit of provenance and authenticity for this item. I have always had this LP in my possession (despite having forgotten its existence), so you can be sure it is not a cut-out or a re-sealed item.

I think that that just about covers it. The fine print: PayPal only, I do not go around behind eBay, and in view of the totality of the circumstances, this sale will be final and there will be no returns or refunds--because once this LP has gone out of my hands, I can no longer vouch for its authenticity. To make it plain, the LP is sealed and never played. So, if, despite its being from the first shipment delivered to the record label, upon opening it up, there is found to be some pressing defect, there is nothing I can do about that, and I hope that serious LP collectors will understand my positions in these particulars.

Insured shipping is free in the US and $15 worldwide.

Any questions, please ask.

Regards, John Marks
