RORY GALLAGHER SIGNED LP
Rory signed this LP, along with the rest of my vinyl collection, when he was touring the Defender Album in 1987.
To be exact, he played the International 2, on Plymouth Grove, Manchester 08/10/87.
Rory's roadie, Tom O'Driscoll, took the collection of LP sleeves from me before the gig - and told me to wait by the left hand of the stage afterwards. He was a bit reluctant at first, and after many minutes of anxious waiting after the gig - including a bit of an argument with a member of the International Staff, who were keen to clear the venue, I was beginning to worry that someone else had nabbed the lot !! However, Tom returned, and took me round the back, where Rory and his crew were getting ready to leave. I was lucky enough to shake his hand, and exchange a few words, and I consider that an honour. Rory offstage was so different to the on-stage persona, and he was gracious and humble - despite being confronted by a babbling northerner.
Rory and band had played a blinding gig, as always - on an unrelated note, it was the first time I had seen him play his single cutaway Takamine acoustic, over the course of many gigs from the late 70's onwards.
A signed LP is a must-have for any Rory fan. He was a quiet, genuine man, and there aren't too many around. Nice sleeve illustration, which will frame well and be a treasured object for years to come.
I am selling this LP reluctantly, and do not currently intend to list the others in my collection, but I have all the tracks on this LP elsewhere, and other signed albums, so someone else can add this to their collection. The LP is in good condition - rarely played, and the sleeve has some marks and scuffs, but nothing that detracts its heritage or appeal to a Rory fan.

For clarity, the Polydor compilation LP - Rory Gallagher, The Story So Far, is in AV/G condition by Reocord Collector standards, and is catalogue ref 2478086...none of which is that relevant - its a signed copy.
