Description
Here we have a super rare copy of Relaxin' with The Miles Davis Quintet, originally recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1956. This is a 1958 UK release on the esteemed Esquire label.
The heavyweight record has been Degritter cleaned and the vinyl has come up glossy and black in excellent condition with only light paper marks visible - see photos. RVG is stamped in the deadwax from the US metalwork used. The vinyl is flat with clean labels apart from some light spindle trails.
Playback reveals a vibrant, warm sound with a very low noise floor - astonishingly good for the age. No issues whatsoever - no jumping, skipping or pops. The vinyl plays through beautifully.
The flipback full laminate sleeve is clean and robust with no splits or writing. Some tape and tape residue is present to the outer seams and some age related yellowing . Slight laminate lift starting to the lower LH front corner. Otherwise in pretty good shape.
An Emitex sleeve is present, however we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.
Finally the record will be sent separated from the outer sleeve to prevent transit splits in an archival outer sleeve.
