**SHOULD ANYONE BE LESS THAN HAPPY A REFUND ON RETURN OF ITEM**
I have been a collector of records and music related items for a number of years, of many different genres. Over a period of time I plan to offer these up for sale.
record: vg/ex, a few minor tics some repeat, low level crackle similar to a 78 but at a lower level
cover: good, came to me with edges taped, I have since removed this, although residue and damage remains, with the aid of PVA glue I have been able to re-seal edges. It would seem there was no original liner due to snug fit of record and the make do one with it has been removed and replaced with my make do Anti-static liner.
The lyric booklet has wear and damage, photo's of all can be seen on listing.
Grading is from Record Collector Guide which reads as follows:
MINT
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
LESSER CONDITIONS
Lesser conditions would only be used subject to rarity.
I MAY WELL USE COMBINATIONS OF THE ABOVE i.e. VG/EX, EX/NM.
Being as condition is subjective you may disagree, I can only give my honest opinion.
MINT is not a term I use but VERY NEAR MINT and or UNPLAYED may well be mint.
Additionally I do not have high tec equipment and indeed 78's are played by me on a Dansette Popular c1962 (new needle). That said feedback would suggest I do get it fairly accurate. But as in at the top of the listing IF YOU ARE LESS THAN HAPPY PLEASE RETURN FOR A REFUND. It is also worth a mention that packaging costs, items packaged to ensure safe passage during delivery process. Prices shown are for a record mailer and 2 stiffeners in the case of vinyl, for Shellac 78 a cruciform box and 6 or 7 stiffeners.
