Description

Here we have for auction is the incredible Jazz LP from the very talented and so underrated Mr Lloyd Miller, "Oriental Jazz" on East West records.

This is the album which contains the beautiful modal jazz piece "Gol-E Gandom", which has been compiled by Jazzman Gerald on his outstanding  "Spiritual Jazz" compilation CD. The tune itself is nothing short of breathtaking, and luckily, the rest of the album follows suit. The album has been in demand in DJ / collector's circle's for the last number of years ever since Gilles Peterson dropped "GOL E GANDOM" into one of his Brownswood Basement Edition show sets. Stunning music across each side, this is the product of many years spent studying and playing music abroad, most notably IRAN, where Mr. Miller had a show before the Fall of the Shah. There are other killers such as "AMBER EYES" and "YONA", but again - the entire thing is breathtaking. Probably the most favourite LP I've ever owned. The only reason I am parting with this is because I have another copy from Mr Lloyd Miller himself.

Before you bid you MUST read the following:-

The vinyl itself is 100% original pressing, and is in VG+ condition . There are some crackles and pops here and there, but the overall listening experience is very enjoyable.

The cover, however, is a photocopy of the original. It is in excellent condition, but I will not grade it due to it being a copy. It is a decent sleeve, but is definitely not original. It was made for Mr Miller as he had some of the original LP's without covers, and the proud man that he is had some made up to compliment the original vinyl he had without sleeves. It is still a good sleeve, it isn't like both sides are stuck on with glue or anything, but you must understand the sleeve is NOT original. The vinyl most definitely is, as this record came from Mr Miller himself to a gentleman who helped him one night at a gig.

MY GRADING IS AS FOLLOWS:- G / VG / EX / NM , WHERE A + OR A - DENOTES FURTHER INDICATION OF CONDITION.

This is an inexpensive way of owning a VERY rare and incredible record.

Any questions, please ask.

Thanks!
