Hammer Blues / When Your Way Gets Dark ~ Charlie Patton PARAMOUNT 12998, November, 1929.
Overall Condition ~ Clean labels with very minor scuffs. No chips or cracks to record. Center hole is drilled very slightly off center causing a bit of side to side wobble. Still retains much gloss. Visually V+, though Hammer side plays less than that. In original (worn) Paramount sleeve with many "race" artists listed.
Hammer Blues ~ Groove wear causes intro to be faint. Improves as it goes. Even playing with a heavy needle it skips at 1:25. Several noisy patches.
When Your Way Gets Dark ~ Plays much stronger with no issues other than a noisy spot or two, especially toward the end.
