Description

Pristine 1956 1st Uk Press Sonny Rollins Plus 4 Esquire 32 025 with the prestige number and RVG hand Etched in the run out grooves. The fact that it is hand etched gives us a clear signal that this is early, as by the end of the 50s Rudy van Gelder was using an RVG lettered stamp, with the later pressings having Van Gelder stamped in them. So a 63 year old original issue in archive condition, in a sleeve that has no pen, dirt, splits or major creases. Vinyl has no scratches, is not warped, is properly centre holed. Labels are with minimal spindle marks and no pen or dirt. On my ortofon mono cartridge I get near mint playback. Can I just add here that the reason these Esquires of early Prestiges are so sought after is because they are on better quality vinyl than the US originals. They are pressed by Decca who used virgin vinyl, whilst Prestige used recycled quit often. I have a broad and deep collection of early pressings so I know this from hearing many examples of both types, plus loads of reissues. The esquires are usually the best. If you were outbid on the one of these that went for £275, this is a more than adequate replacement, its probably an upgrade. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type.
We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge.
We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water.
This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
