I HAVE MANY WONDERFULLY RARE LPs THIS WEEK.
Many promo pressings and still sealed! Most are NM or STONE MINT!
Lots of psych, surf, heavy, hippie, rural folk, and other unclassifiable rock music from the 1960s through the early 1970s! Make sure you see them all, because multiple wins help you save on postage costs!
Power Of Zeus on Rare Earth RS516. Very likely the original 1970 USA pressing! Still sealed in original factory shrink wrapper!
Jacket: VG++ (saw cut at lower right corner [thanks a heap, Motown!] otherwise NM)!
Shrink: tight, no breathe holes but the cellophane is clearly old and not a reseal job at all.
"Where's this been hiding? Can't figure out why this isn't mentioned with all the other early hard rock gems, I'm gonna echo the sentiments prior, I'm hearing early era Deep Purple, Grand Funk, etc. Big crunchy riffs, the Hammond B-3 everywhere, some wah-wah inflected funk, swirly psychedelic organs- yeah, this record is a hidden gem..." Check photos and grades below.
GRADING VINYL
NM (NEAR MINT)
Virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches no matter how superficial. An otherwise perfect disc with a superficial hairline scratch would instantly downgrade to NM-. The disc should play with no audible distractions. Labels are clean and unmarked.
VG++ (VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS)
Like-new luster but with minor paper scuffs that should not interfere with the sound quality. The disc should still play as-new. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing so deep it would be felt with a fingertip. Labels are still clean but a neatly written owner's name is allowable on one side.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS)
Visible surface wear consisting of a few very minor scratches and scuffs which should have a minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will retain a nearly new luster, while labels may have minor imperfections such as light spindle marks or a sticker.
VG (VERY GOOD)
Many noticeable scratches and scuffs should cause minor surface noise without overpowering the music. There will be no skips or stuck sections. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish, and there may be actual deformation of the spindle hole.
GRADING JACKETS / PICTURE SLEEVES
SS (STILL SEALED)
Album is still in the factory-applied shrink-wrapping.
M (MINT)
Absolutely perfect without flaws, period. Cover should appear as if a record has never been inside.
NM or M- (NEAR MINT or MINT MINUS)
Appears new but with one extremely minor sign of wear or disc impression.
VG++ (VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS)
Minor disc impression or slight corner "dinks." No wrinkles, split seams, or writing, or writing. No rubbing or ring wear. Small, clean cut-out markings are allowable if the rest of the cover is near perfect.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS)
Cover is clean but may have writing or other marks and/or other slight wear. Light ring wear is allowed. Some age-related discoloration or staining ("foxing") is allowed, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. One or more of the corners may have frayed or have a small crease.
VG (VERY GOOD)
Seams have begun to split or are neatly repaired with clear tape (I do not repair jackets). Moderate ringwear and discoloration, with more conspicuous writing, labels, etc. Corners show more fraying and creases, plus there may be scratches, abrasions, or gouges that mar the artwork somewhat.
I accept PayPal, though locals may prefer to pick up and pay in person. Please remit payment within 5 days. No unconfirmed USA PayPal payments please; other arrangements must be made if your USA account is not confirmed. I do not accept personal checks. For multiple auctions won, please add 75 cents per additional LP (domestic only -- if international add $3 per).I will pack this for shipping by placing the sleeve in its own poly cover and placing the record in a generic paper sleeve outside of the jacket and/or original inner sleeve to prevent split seams. International bidders please note that postage costs are clearly stated on this auction page. All postage fees are actual cost from the post office or UPS based on parcel size and weight and destination. I do not make money on postage. The best service rate will be chosen according to the value of this item. If the value is low (less than $45 USD) then first class rate is allowable. If the value is higher, only USPS priority rate will be allowed. Keep in mind that you are responsible for customs fees, also based on the value of the item(s) purchased. I may elect to insure a particularly valuable parcel against loss or damage, at my own expense. The insured value will be clearly shown on the outside, therefore it will not make sense to claim a lesser amount for customs. I'd be honored if you checked out my feedback and my other current auctions also. Thanks for your time and best of luck!
