Description
Pink Floyd wish you were here
A-1 and B-3 matrix
SHVL814 UK first pressing.
A once in a lifetime 100% genuine mint 1975 first pressing of 'wish you were here'.
It's the best one I've ever seen in all of my years of record collecting.
The cover is still wrapped in the black celephane wrapper, and opened on the correct opening edge.
It's wrapped tightly over the other edges of the cover so the complete cover has never actually been fully seen.
The sticker to the front is the original sticker and has never been removed.
The original inside sleeve is die cut to three corners with one side straight edged
The postcard is the shiny one with jagged edges of the diving man.
The labels credit on 'wish you were here part 5 are credited to Waters, Gilmour, Wright
The condition
The condition of the COVER is NEAR MINT, the celephane is wrapped over it and its been placed in another plastic sleeve to protect it over time, it's as it is in the photographs.... A thing of beauty... Clean and ABSOLUTELY NEAR MINT.
The celephane or black wrapping is just as you see in the photographs, it's difficult to put a grading on this, it's clean and opened elegantly over the opening edge and split on the bottom reverse to allow for shrinkage over the last fourty years.
The POST CARD is EXCELLENT with one age spot on the white part as seen in the photographs.
The inside sleeve is NEAR MINT.
The LABELS are MINT, no spindle markings of any kind.
The VINYL is the crowning jewel of this collection and is in fantastic MINT condition.... No marks at all, incredible given its age.
The vinyl was placed in a poly lined inner from new and only test played once, and I've owned this for twenty years or more.
Looks absolutely incredible.
It's the best one I've ever seen...REAL WOW FACTOR.
Most other originals of 'wish you were here' always turn up with a few marks on them. NOT THIS ONE.
This is the best one you will ever find.
THE GRADING SYSTEM
I usually go with record collectors grading system with the additional near mint grade between mint and excellent as there can sometimes be variables.
Mint: the record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration of sound quality.
The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.
Near mint : the record has been played and kept with other records but looks like new.
The cover and contents are complete and without any wear at all.
The audio is as close to perfect as you could possibly get from a played record.
Excellent: the record shows some signs of having being played, but there is very little lessoning in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and creasing.
Very good: the record has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable...
