Muddy Waters - The Chess Box - Japan 11-LP Box Set-RARE
Rare and long out-of-print mid-80's Limited Edition 11 LP Japanese import
box set of "The Chess Box" by Muddy Waters. Long sought after by blues collectors and this box set rarely turns up for sale or auction. Blues Interactions (Japan) catalog # PLP-6040 - PLP-6050. This is a BEAUTIFUL and complete set. There are 11 records housed in 11 yellow inner sleeves. Each yellow inner sleeve has one letter of his name (M-U-D-D-Y-W-A-T-E-R-S) with different photos making up the letter, and the lyrics on the opposite side. This box set does not contain the "bonus" record PLP-6051. The original 12 x 12 booklet, in both English and Japanese, is also included.
The records are mint! Unplayed! Perfectly clean! The inner sleeves are all mint or near mint. The booklet is mint. The box is in mint shape. This collection does not have the Japanese “OBI” strip on the box. Box set weighs 5 ½ pounds before packaging.
