On Offer is a really superb copy of the 6th Muddy Waters' LP 'Brass and the Blues' on very collectible black and silver UK Chess label. This is a smashing album by one of the finest blues artists ever recorded, it was his 6th Chess release and in my opinion the last of his great recordings, (unless you are a fan of the later funky/rock recordings in Electric Mud and after the Rain) and as the title suggests incorporates a brass section on many of the tracks producing a rich and fuller sound than the earlier recordings. This particular copy never attended any parties and in fact rarely left the shelf. It is a really great copy which you will find very difficult to better. It has come from my own collection and is only being sold as I have a preference for USA pressings.
The vinyl is Excellent+ or better with no marks or scuffs and is very shiny, only a couple of spindle marks on the matt black labels show signs of having ever been played.
The sturdy front laminated flip-back sleeve is graded NM and is very clean, no writing, ring wear or laminate damage at all. The reverse is bright and clean and the spine is solid and all text is clear.
Labels are very clean - ouple of spindle marks which are inevitable on the matt black labels.
Original patent pending plain poly-lined paper inner sleeve is excellent with a few light fold creases.
All told this it is a superb copy of a classic Muddy Waters blues album, they are becoming impossible to find even in lesser condition, but finding them like this is tough and will only get tougher!
