Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 7013, Conception, a yellow, deep groove, 446 W. 50th St. NYC labeled original mono issue, of this rare record with RVG etched in the dead wax and featuring sessions with Lee Konitz and Miles Davis, Miles with Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz with Al Haig and Gerry Mulligan with Zoot Sims. The record is in strong VG+ (VG+(+) condition, showing marks, but playing well. Side one has only light occasional background crackle on the last track, while side 2 has a light background click on parts of tracks 1 and 2. Overall, an undistorted, excellent listening experience. The cover, with the proper 447 west 50th Street, New York 19 NY address on the back, has a name in pen on the back but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent as well with only light spindle marks. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. Still, an excellent, collectors grade copy of this original early Prestige issue with all the proper markings. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months.
