This record comes from the private collection of FRANS SCHREUDER, former teacher of piano at the Rotterdam Conservatory,
who owns a specialized piano collection on both LP and 78. Schreuder was a personal friend Lili Kraus and Szymon Goldberg,
whom he met during WW II when they were imprisoned in the same prisoner camps in Indonesia. Kraus and Goldberg were touring
Indonesia when WW II broke out and they were imprisoned for 2 years. In the camp they developped a friendship that was especially
close with Lili Kraus and that lasted her whole life. Schreuder has written a book about his experiences with Kraus and Goldberg
that is at present being translated into English. Schreuder has collected the complete works of Kraus on LP and 78 rpm,
currently for sale are the spare copies.
