HERE is a nice original UK copy of the highly regarded sixties psych album This Is The Magic Mixture by The Magic Mixture on Saga from 1968.This band featured brothers Jimmy and Jack McCulloch from One In A Million on lead guitar and drums as well as Simon Kirke, later to join Free. The psychedelic music found here is, as you might imagine, very well played and consequently original copies of this album are now highly sought after.Richard Morton Jack, writing in Galactic Ramble, says: "This is one of the more satisfying underground pop LPs of its time, with an immediacy that takes you right back to a sweaty psychedelic dive in London circa 1967. The singing and guitar playing are both of an unusually high standard, and several songs are outstanding ... this is top-tier UK psych-pop."This copy has been barely played, as you can see from my photos of the labels (just one spindle mark on one side).Both sides of the vinyl look a strong VG with just a few light marks visible when viewed under a strong halogen light.The front laminated sleeve is also a strong VG ... it is very flat with just a little light creasing (that is essentially the outline of the disc within) and a little light foxing on the white unlaminated rear panel, which also has a faint 'DELETED' stamp near the top.Good luck if you are bidding - and don't forget to check out my other items.I carefully package my records and post tracked to ensure they reach you as they leave me, with the disc removed from the sleeve.
