Description

Led Zeppelin's 1969 debut album on Atlantic Records 588171. Authentic first UK plum label  and super rare (especially in this condition) turqoise text laminated record cover.
This Led Zeppelin I record is one of the most sought after records by collectors all over the world with only 2,000 of these turquoise covers pressed
And this pressing is the TRUE FIRST PRESSING with its UNCORRECTED matrix.
588171 A#1
588171 B#1
And to top it off it has the Side 1 printing ERROR (see scans) for track 3 "You Shook Me" ….Credited twice to Superhype and Jewel Music and omitting track 2's credit from the label entirely….This error was only on the first pressing.
Investment grade record and without a doubt, one of the rarest ones in existance and a true Holy Grail!
This record already sells for thousands of dollars/pounds/Euros Etc.and is only increasing invalue and this particular record is the actual first pressing,as stated above and is in remarkablecondition….See scans and grading below.
Not to mention the fact that this is an OUTSTANDING record!
The record grades Excellent. The vinyl surfaces on both sides are clean and bright, with nodeep scratches or scuffs on either side. there's just a few non- sounding surface hairlinescratches.
The record play on both sides without major faults, without clicks or skips with just mild backgroundnoise (static),here and there….A note about background noise: Even new and Near Mint records have background noise….I have been collecting records for over 53 years now and there is nosuch thing as a completely noise free record….Bottom line is that, this record sounds just fineand i am being very critical and conservative.
This is a rock album and it's meant to be played loud and when it is,it sounds outstanding!
This record cover grades Excellent+ This beautiful glossy MacNeill Press Ltd. laminated isone of the top five that I have ever seen….It's a BEAUTY! It has retained its gloss and shineto the front and back covers….There are no seam splits, tears, writing or any other damage. There are some trivial signs of storage and a few laminate pinches,a couple of corner bumps, there is light laminate lifting to the front and back covers near the spine edge, this is commonwith this sleeve and is caused by the laminate being pulled too highly over the sleeve inthe manufacturing process (see scans)….Again, one of the best covers I have ever seen.
Comes with the original die cut poly lined inner sleeve.
I've been collecting records for over 52 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
