Description

I purchased this record several years ago, orphaned in a Vancouver Island thrift store. This is the original copy that was brought to the attention of Irwin Chusid of WFMU Radio and Bar None Records, where it was re-released as "Innocence and Despair, The Langley Schools Project", and the rest is history.    The record offered in this auction is the first of 2 put out by GLENWOOD REGION MUSIC GROUP under the direction of Hans Fenger, and contains the now legendary cover of  "A SPACE ODDITY". Generally considered to be the superior of the 2, it is one of the original 300 records pressed, of which only a few are known to exist. You may crawl through time to find one in this condition!    Included are copies of numerous local and international newspaper and magazine articles detailing its re-release, including the  NY Times with a review by David Bowie. Don't miss this unique chance to own an actual piece of Incredibly Strange Music history.   VINYL; VG++ A few barely visible hairlines that do not affect play, some faint crackle in spots. Clean, bright vinyl. Faint spindle marks, clear labels. Overall, a nice clean copy.  COVER; VG++ Normal wear, slight fading. Strong borders and corners, thick seams with no splits, well cared for.
