Special consignment from a very serious audiophile collector friend.
Original stereo E. M. I. TEST PRESSING issue consisting of 2 one-sided LPs in a mono jacket/cover, generic EMI white "NOT FOR SALE" labels, MoFi Original Master inner sleeves. Made in Great Britain.

Records are NEAR MINT, or MINT- (seldom played): VERY SHINY & CLEAN!!! No spindle wear. PLAYS GREAT!!!
Cover is VG+: minor edge, corner & ring wear; otherwise clean & sturdy. No splits.

The owner of this special consignment has provided the following information regarding this EXTREMELY RARE TEST PRESSING:
Purchased in the late 1980s from the massive collection of a retired E. M. I. record producer.
The EMI Group standardized record stamper sequence began in 1931. It spells out GRAMOPHLTD. G is the first stamper, D is the tenth. For this Kogan-Silvestri stereo test pressing both records have the G stamper.
A more original pressing cannot exist!
Here are the matrix sequence and acetate numbers:
Record 1: YLX-1048-3.
Record 2: YLX-1049-8.
NOTE: The reason for the MONO JACKET/COVER: During the early years of EMI Stereo vinyl, the Stereo EMI Test Pressings were often placed in Mono covers/jackets. Sometimes it took months or years later before the Stereo Covers were finally available.
RARITY: Prior to 1963, the EMI Group test pressings were for insiders only and extremely RARE. Up to 10, but usually around 5, per title were made.
