JOY DIVISION AN IDEAL FOR LIVING 7" ORIGINAL 1978 UK ENIGMA - PSS 139
Before you even read any further, just imagine how long you will need to wait to see another original 1978 Joy Division “An Ideal For Living” EP in such excellent condition like this one coming-up for sale again! So beautiful and rare “no one really knows how few still exist today”, especially in this great condition.
The cover was designed by Bernard Sumner and was then printed in Macclesfield, then taken to Stephen Morris’s house to be hand-folded, and put together by all of Joy Division. The EP contains the tracks: Leaders of Men, Failures of The Modern Man, Warsaw and No Love Lost.
Original 7" EP edition. 1000 copies, released on the band's own label ENIGMA.
The sleeve was printed on a 14" x 14" piece of thin cardstock and then folded into four squares.

While the band was known as Warsaw during the recording sessions for this release, they changed their name to Joy Division before the release took place, and that is the name that appears on the record.
Numerous counterfeit editions of this release exist. Only the original vinyl has serrated vinyl around the label and different contours on the label.
Parts of the images on the entire original/authentic cover, when looked at closely can be seen as a compilation of dots to create them “Dot-Matrix” images.

The cover is excellent, and apart from a small number of light hairline marks on the disc it is very good, and looks to be almost unused.
The dots that makeup parts of the images are hard to photograph, however, they are Very Clear to see on this EP cover when looked at through a magnifying-glass.
Never used by seller, from a smoke-free, pet-free home and kept in an acid-free transparent cover.
