Laminated flipback Sleeve

A really very nice Original British 12" vinyl release of this fabulous Blues LP on the UK PYE Records label, licensed from Chess records, 1964, and in great condition throughout. A fantastic iconic sleeve and a fabulous sound.

Vinyl is in NM condition and looks hardly played, if at all. This vinyl still carries a beautiful sheen. The original textured labels are pristine, there is one very, very feint paper (?) mark that is inaudible wear, there are no scuffs or warps. The record is very, very clean and looks 'nearly new'. Incredibly rare in this condition.

The part laminated sleeve is graded Excellent++. Although of a flimsy nature (these sleeves often dont wear well) this one has stood the test of time. The laminate is superb back and front. The rear of the sleeve is very clean and in great shape with only a monor pen mark (and a penned name on the laminate flip - I believe that this will clean off but I have not tried). The colours are superb, bright and strong. The spine is straight and unblemished with readable text. if I look this good when I'm 50 years old I'll be happy ! Very Nice !

A genuine and collectable CLASSIC BLUES LP from the UK, 1964, in general Excellent++ condition.

It is not very often that I see collections that are this good and in such great condition so please check my other auctions for many more classic original UK and US Jazz and Blues records from this large and well looked after collection.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

 
As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
