This is a very clean UK first Fontana mono pressing of John Lee Hooker's "How long Blues" , ,
from 1964.
The front cover is very clean, no creases, no dirt pick-up, shiny like new. The rear cover is
unlaminated, and has picked up some yellowing and two creases towards the top right corner.
The top and vertical spines are very clean, the bottom spine has two areas of wear as shown in
the photos. The extreme corners have picked up virtually no wear.
Both labels are clean, a couple of small spindle trails evident on the B-side.Barely played, the
spindle hole still stiff on the spindle. The vinyl surface itself is almost spotless, two very fine
hairlines and the finest of abrasions one side two that I needed to hold in strong light to find, it
looks mint in natural light. Play is very strong, the vocals belt out clear as day. Very light
background here and there, the only noticable loud tick I heard was before the first track on
side two had started, on the run-in. Very lightly played and a wonderfully sparse recording of
the man & his guitar on top form.
