                                                                                                                  RATING GUIDE

STILL SEALED (SS) :   Obvious notation

NEAR MINT     (NM) :  Vinyl looks new, no readily visible signs of wear; covers and sleeves should have no more than signs of handling vinyl in or out of sleeve.  No hissing, or background noise.

VERY GOOD ++  (VG++) :  Vinyl can show some signs of light wear, full gloss, no more than 2 or 3 light scratches or scuffs,(no effect on sound), very minimum label wear if any,   very minimal if any background noise.  Covers and sleeves should have no more than light edge wear and ring wear, no split seams, writing, stickers.  May have notch cut, diagonal corner or drilled as noted.  DJ or promo stamps acceptable.

VERY GOOD +  (VG+) :  Same defects as stated above but more pronounced, slight surface noise may be present but not over power the sound, labels may be slightly marred, vinyl should show a little wear but still have good gloss. No skipping, loud clicks or pops. Small amount of writing on label or cover, small sticker.  Cover may have moderate edge wear, no more than 2" split seam, slightly creased corner.

VERY GOOD  (VG) :  Record should play through, no skips. Slight hiss, but still strong sound.  Numerous visible scratches, scuffs, good wear on labels.  Covers have some split seams, faded color, wear on edges.

GOOD  (G) :  My lowest grade to sell, has background noise, might have one skip or repeat line but because of scarcity of record, may still sell, vinyl may be grayish, worn label.  Picture sleeves or covers may be fairly ragged with several split seams or writing on cover.

I WILL TRY AND NOTE ALL MAJOR DEFECTS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO MATTER WHO WRITES A GRADING SCALE,  **IT IS STILL SUBJECTIVE**, WE MAY NOT GET EVERY DETAIL RIGHT,  WE JUST TRY TO BE AS FAIR AS POSSIBLE.  ALWAYS WILLING TO WORK OUT A PROBLEM IF THERE IS ONE.  ALWAYS OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.

ANY VINYL I FEEL IS NOT WORTH $3 I DONATE TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TO TRY AND SELL IN RUMMAGE SALES.
