Both are conservatively visually graded VG+....The believer is more VG++ than VG+Settin' The Pace is more on the VG+ levelYETthe play test reveals an EXCELLENT sound....I ALWAYS GRADE IN THE SUNLIGHTGraded in indoor lighting, these look EXCELLENTPlease see my 100% positive feedback as a record seller.Both records are generally in the same condition--I got them from the same private collector.These have been store vertically in a dry, smoke-free clean environment.Both records are some hairline marks. Settin' The Pace has a thin hairline going across side 1. All of these marks pretty much go away in the bright light.None are 'feelable'.VISUALLY GRADED VG+The play test is different. Like Blue Notes, these early Prestige's have a magical quality to them.The sound quality is....sweet and sharp.Are they perfect? Nope. Are there tics or pops? Nope.Is there 'excessive' background noise? Nope.Does it sound like John Coltrane is playing in your living room?Yes.The covers are beautiful... especially the front and the spine which are practically near mint.The back of The Believer has slight discoloration on back bottom, as shown.

RECORD GRADING IS AS FOLLOWS:VG+ = A record that may be somewhat noisy in spots, but not noisy enough to distract from the music. There will perhaps be some surface and hairline marks, but again, not deep enough to cause a pop or tic. (MY VG+ record will have NO tics or major pops) There may be paper scuff marks on the vinyl. The original 'gloss' or shiny luster will be faded somewhat. Perhaps the label has some writing on it. This is the record that you would find at a thrift store or yard sale and be pleasantly surprised by the quality. Overall, a record worth having in your collection, a keeper. PLEASE NOTE THAT I GRADE CONSERVATIVELY. MY VG+ IS LIKELY ANOTHER DEALERS VG++ OR EXCELLENT.
VG++ = A record that may be slightly noisy in places. There will still be most of it's original gloss or shiny luster to the vinyl. Perhaps the vinyl is excellent otherwise, but has some light noise in one specific area (which would be noted). There may be an inconsequential hairline mark  or two, and even paper scuffs from being pulled out of the sleeve. A record that holds its value and is in enviable condition. 
EXCELLENT = A record that will have most or all of its' original gloss and shine. Surface marks are superfluous and minimal. The record sounds very clean and clear and any slight noise will be short-lived and basically inconsequential. The label has no writing on it. This record is close to being near mint and earns a space on the TOP SHELF of your record collection.
NEAR MINT = A record that has been opened and played very minimally, if at all. Only about 5% of used records earn this grading. There will be noise at all and no surface marks.
