Blue Note Records BLP 1514, this is an original mono pressing - NOT a reissue - of the classic Jimmy Smith LP "A New Sound - A New Star: Vol. 2". This pressing has the "767 Lexington Ave NYC" address notation, with both the infamous "ear" and "RVG" clearly marked in the trail off; there is a "deep groove" under the label on both sides. Jacket is EX- (excellent-), showing some minor handling and a hint of ring wear; there are a few corner bumps and faint signs of shelf wear/flaking at edges (mostly along top edge), but nothing of much note. Vinyl is a shiny and clean NM-, showing a few minor paper marks. Playback is solid throughout - occasional crackle at the beginning of each side and between a few songs - while labels are crisp with a few superficial marks.
